The Ottawa Shooting Stars are gearing up for another year of House League play in the greater Eastern Ontario recreational basketball league for 2025-26. As part of this process, OSS asks that parents/guardians please provide some additional information regarding registrants prior to them stepping on to the court. This information is used to attempt to place them in the correct categories, on evenings which align with their other family commitments.
Please note:
1)While we will strive to accommodate as many requests as possible, we will always place team balance above all other requests when forming rosters.
2)Families can select one weeknight evening per week which they do NOT wish to have a practice on. We will make our best effort to place players on a team that does not have their weekly practice that evening. However, please note that OSS does not control the Eastern Ontario league play schedule, so participants should be prepared to play on either Saturday or Sunday as required.
3)Families can make up to TWO friend requests for the 2025-26 House League season. Coaches will make their best effort to ensure at least one of the requests is placed on a team together when forming rosters.
4)Per Eastern Ontario league play guidelines, we will be running House A & House B level splits at U12, U14 and U16 Boys ONLY. All other age groups will be run as balanced teams. Players in these age groups can opt out of the House A/House B sort outs if they would like. Players who opt out of sort outs will be automatically placed on a House B team.

Please see below for the currently scheduled House A/B sort out dates (U12/U14/U16 Boys ONLY), as well as the House League team balancing dates. Players are encouraged to be in attendance for these sessions. If it is not possible to make your scheduled time, please contact info@ottawashootingstars.com to make other arrangements.
