Get In The Game Fund

The Ottawa Shooting Stars believe in eliminating economic barriers to make sport as accessible as possible for players in the National Capital Region. Established in 2023, the GITG Fund aims to help subsidize families facing economic hardship so that they can take part in sport in a meaningful way.

Although basketball may not have the same level of start up costs that sports such as hockey or football do, uniform costs, travel, hotels, tournament fees and more add up over the course of a season. With your generous support, we will direct collected funds to help support players requiring financial assistance to offset costs throughout the course of their season. In doing so, we hope to allow more children and youth to “Get In The Game” in Ottawa.
